The Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), established in 1983, is one of the largest research centres in Greece with state-of-the-art research facilities, highly qualified academic personnel and a reputation as a top-level research foundation worldwide.
Forum Novum was a Roman town and an early medieval bishopric. It is located in the Sabine hills and was likely founded as a market center during the Republican period. It had achieved the status of municipium by the first century A.D. The market center seems to have remained active until at least the fourth century and by the fifth century, a bishopric is established there.
La Fondazione per il Museo “Claudio Faina” è stata istituita il 14 settembre 1957 e riconosciuta con Decreto del Presidente della Repubblica Italiana in data 1 giugno 1959, con lo scopo di tutelare e promuovere la raccolta di famiglia, una delle più importanti d’Italia. Il conte Claudio Faina, che aveva ereditato la raccolta alla morte del padre Eugenio, aveva deciso infatti nel 1954 di donarla al Comune di Orvieto, insieme a una serie di beni (immobili in città e terreni nell’Orvietano), a condizione che venisse creata una Fondazione autonoma.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization established and legally recognized in 1947, at Politecnico di Milano, founded thanks to the commitment of Eng. Carlo Maurilio Lerici. It is an Institute under the High Supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
Le programme “Fac-Simile. Documentation graphique et musées de peinture étrusque“ (2017-2021) est porté par l’École française de Rome, l’équipe de recherche de l’Université de Tours, le CeTHiS (EA 6298), et la Soprintendenza Archeologia Toscana.
Il s’agit d’un programme de recherche et de documentation sur les reproductions graphiques de la peinture étrusque, élaborées entre le XIXe et le XXe siècles. Aquarelles, calques et facsimilés reproduisant les fresques des tombes étrusques (Cerveteri, Chiusi, Orvieto, Tarquinia, Véies, Vulci) sont envisagés à travers leur rôle dans la diffusion de l’art et de la culture étrusque au sein des lieux d’exposition (musées, collections privées, expositions).
