There are several areas of application in which this new technology represents a useful tool, from the survey and monitoring of ancient monuments to the expeditious analysis of entire territorial sectors. Therefore occur some case studies conducted by the LabTAF  of the University of Salento which have, as intervention centers, the Roman City of Aquinum (Southern Lazio), the Vicus Ad Pirum along Via Traiana and the territory between Lecce (Lupiae) and San Cataldo.
